From Vienna International Airport (Vie Schwechat) to the city

  • Trains:
    City Airport Train CAT (https://www.cityairporttrain.com/en/home)
    ÖBB (https://www.oebb.at/en/)
    ÖBB long-distance trains run approximately every 30 minutes without a stopover between Vienna Airport and Vienna Central Station.
    Cost: € 4.20 (€ 1.80 if you already have a Wiener Linien ticket for Vienna (core zone). In this case, use "city limit" as the destination.)

    Trains run between 04.40 and 1.19 a.m.
    Journey time: 25 minutes to "Wien Mitte"
    Cost: € 4.20 (€ 1.80 if you already have a Wiener Linien ticket for Vienna (core zone). In this case, use "Schwechat" as the destination).
    Tickets are available from ticket machines in underground and suburban railway stations.

How to reach the BOKU campus Türkenschanze

Public transport is the preferred way to move around Vienna. Its public transport operator is Wiener Linien. Three bus lines will bring you directly to the campus:

10A ('Dänenstraße')
37A ('Dänenstraße')
40A ('Dänenstraße')

You can also reach the BOKU by the S45 (945) (about 10 minutes walking distance from Wien Krottenbachstraße or Wien Gersthof).

Or by tram 41 (about 10 minutes walking distance from Türkenschanzplatz).

There are bicycle parking spaces at all locations.

How to reach the NHMW

From BOKU to NHMW (30 min.)

Bus 40A from Dänenstraße to Börse and then tram 71 from Börse to Ring/Volkstheater.
